This document is drafted in accordance with GB/T 1.1-2020 Guidelines for Standardization - Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents.
This document replaces GB/T4625-1998 Assembly Tools for Screws and Nuts: Terminology. Compared with GB/T4625-1998, except for structural adjustment and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:
——Changed the scope (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of 1998 edition);
——Normative references have been added (see Chapter 2);
——Added classification and classification rules (see Chapter 4)
——Added executive standards and reference standards (see Chapter 5);
——The naming in French and Russian is deleted (see Chapter 3 of the 1998 edition);
——Changed the name of wrench (see 5.1, 2.1 of 1998 edition);
——The designation of sleeve is added (see 5.2);
——The designation of screw driver head is added (see 5.3);
——Changed the designation of screw drivers (see 5.4, 2.2 of 1998 edition);
——Changed the naming of connectors (see 5.5, 2.3 of 1998 edition):
——The designation of transmission parts has been changed (see 5.6, 2.4 of 1998 version),
——The designation of torque tools has been added (see 5.7).
ISO 1703:2018 Nomenclature of Assembly Tools for Screws and Nuts is adopted for modification of this document.
Compared with ISO 1703:2018, this document has many structural adjustments. See Appendix A for the comparison list of structural number changes between the two documents.
Compared with ISO 1703:2018, there are many technical differences in this document, which are marked with a vertical single line in the margin of the outer page of the clauses involved. See Appendix B for a list of these technical differences and their causes.
The following editorial changes have been made to this document:
——The French version of informative Annex A of ISO 1703:2018 has been deleted;
——The informative Annex B of ISO 1703:2018 in other languages has been deleted.

This document specifies the classification and classification rules, naming, implementation standards and scope of use of screw and nut assembly tools. This document applies to assembly tools for screws and nuts.
