1 Scope
This document describes the simulation test methods for autonomous driving functions of intelligent connected vehicles, and specifies the test requirements and general passing requirements.
This document applies to category M and N vehicles equipped with autonomous driving functions, or to autonomous driving systems.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 40429, GB/T 41798, GB/T 44373, GB/T 45312, GB/T 46896 and the following apply.
3.1 simulation test
A method of testing an autonomous driving system or a vehicle equipped with autonomous driving functions using a simulation test toolchain in simulated scenarios.
3.2 simulation test toolchain
A general term consisting of one or more groups of simulation test tools and models combined for the purpose of conducting simulation tests.
3.2.1 chain simulation test tool
Software and/or hardware devices used for simulation testing of autonomous driving systems.
3.2.2 model
Description or representation of a system, entity, phenomenon or process.
3.3 simulation model
A model in which input variables change over time within a simulation environment.
EXAMPLE: Traffic environment model, weather environment model, etc.
3.4 concrete test scenario
A test scenario formally described with explicit parameters.
3.5 simulation test credibility
The degree to which the results of a simulation test can be believed.
3.6 correlation
The degree of correlation between a model and the object being modelled, expressed quantitatively.
3.7 stable following
A state in which the speed difference between a leading vehicle and a following vehicle is within ±2 km/h and is maintained for more than 3 s.

4 Test requirements
4.1 General requirements
4.1.1 The test object of this document shall include at least the autonomous driving system.
4.1.2 No changes shall be made to the autonomous driving system or the simulation test toolchain during the execution of the simulation test.
4.1.3 The simulation test credibility shall be evaluated in accordance with Annex A.
4.1.4 On the basis of completing the test items selected in Table 1, additional test items beyond those specified in this document shall be generated according to the operational design conditions of the autonomous driving system to ensure test coverage. The test items shall include at least test scenarios, test procedures, test record information requirements and passing requirements. Concrete test scenarios shall be constructed in accordance with 5.3, and the simulation test shall be executed in accordance with 5.4.
4.1.5 Commercial vehicle test vehicles shall be tested under both the complete vehicle kerb mass condition and the maximum permissible gross mass condition. The description of mass shall comply with GB/T 3730.2. After the start of the test, changing the condition of the test vehicle is not permitted. For semi-trailer towing vehicles, tests shall be conducted under both the complete vehicle combination kerb mass condition and the maximum permissible mass of the vehicle combination condition.
4.2 Simulation test toolchain requirements
4.2.1 The configuration of the simulation test toolchain shall comply with the requirements of A.2 to A.5 in Annex A.
4.2.2 The simulation test toolchain shall support at least the simulation test items selected in 5.2.
4.2.3 The simulation test toolchain shall have the capability to run concrete test scenarios (including but not limited to road networks, objects, etc.). The dimensions of objects are given in Annex B.
4.2.4 The simulation test toolchain shall have the capability to interface with the autonomous driving system model, algorithm or hardware under test.
4.2.5 The simulation test toolchain shall have the capability to collect raw sensor signal data or to interface with sensor hardware (e.g., cameras, radar, etc.).
4.2.6 The simulation test toolchain shall have the capability to run vehicle dynamics models or to interface with vehicle actuation systems.
4.2.7 The simulation test toolchain shall support the evaluation of simulation test results and ensure that the simulation test results are traceable. It shall support at least the recording and storage of the test data required in 4.3.
4.3 Test record information requirements
During the simulation test, in addition to recording the test record information for each test item specified in Annexes C to I respectively, the following information shall also be recorded:
a)The simulation test intheloop test method;
b) The configuration and version information of the simulation test toolchain;
c) The configuration and version information of the autonomous driving system under test;
d) The lighting and humanmachine interaction information of the test vehicle, or relevant request information required by the autonomous driving system;
e) The relative distance information between the outer edge of the test vehicle's wheels and the outer edge of the lane line;
f) The minimum distance information between the outer contour of the test vehicle and road infrastructure (e.g., traffic signs, tunnels, etc.), or other information for determining whether a collision has occurred.
5 Test methods
5.1 Test procedure requirements
As shown in Figure 1, the simulation test shall be carried out at least according to the following procedure:
a)Determine the test items and test plan according to 5.2;
b)Determine the simulation test toolchain according to the test items and test plan determined in a);
c) According to the simulation test toolchain determined in b), carry out the simulation test credibility evaluation in accordance with Annex A;
d) According to Annexes C to I, use the simulation test toolchain evaluated in c) to construct concrete test scenarios;
e) Execute the simulation test;
f) Obtain the simulation test results.

4 Test requirements
4.1 General requirements
