1. Scope
This Part of GB/T 5008 specified the specification, overall dimension, terminal position, etc. for lead-acid starter batteries.
This Part is applicable to the exhaust (flooded) type lead-acid batteries (hereinafter referred to as batteries) and valve-regulated batteries (with gas recombination function) with 12V rated voltage and used for starting, ignition and illumination of various automobiles, tractors and other internal-combustion engines.
This Part is not applicable to batteries used for other purpose, for example, starter batteries for railway internal-combustion engines.
