本标准是对GB/T 5539-1985《植物油脂检验 油脂定性试验》的修订。
本标准自实施之日起代替GB/T 5539-1985。
本标准规定了植物油脂定性试验的术语和定义、仪器设备、试验步骤和结果判定方法。
本标准适用于桐油、蓖麻油、亚麻油、矿物油、大豆油、花生油、芝麻油、棉籽油、菜籽油、植物油中猪脂、油茶籽油、茶籽油、大麻籽油的定性或检出试验。
本标准与GB/T 5539-1985的主要差异如下：
——将标准名称改为“粮油检验 油脂定性试验”；
——增加了术语和定义；
——“桐油热聚合试验”改为“桐油纯度试验”；
——“β-桐油试验”改为“β-桐油的检出”；
——棉籽油的检出限由0.2%修改为0.3%；
——增加了矿物油检出的不适用范围，本法不适用于米糠原油和沙棘油；
——增加了大豆油检出的不适用范围，本法不适用于一、二级大豆油；
——增加菜籽油检出的不适用范围，本法不适用于低芥酸菜籽油的检出。
