End-suction centrifugal pumps - Dimensions of cavities for mechanical seals and for soft packing 1 Scope This standard specifies the terms and definitions of mechanical seals and soft packing of end-suction centrifugal pumps (hereinafter referred to as pumps), dimensions of seal cavity and gland plate attachments, and design requirements of seal cavity. This standard is applicable to pumps for general purpose and heavy-duty process applications.
