本标准代替GB/T 6396-1995《复合钢板力学及工艺性能试验方法》，本标准与GB/T 6396-1995相比主要变化如下：——删除了对复合钢板厚度的限制；——对一些术语和定义进行了重新修订；增加了复合的定义，删除了轧制复合钢板、爆炸复合钢板、堆焊复合钢板、铸造复合钢板、爆炸轧制复合钢板、堆焊轧制复合钢板、铸造轧制复合钢板、剪切试验的定义，对基材、外弯曲试验、内弯曲试验、侧弯取试验的定义进行了修正；——取消了拉伸试验组合强度标准值的计算公式；——取消了对剪切试验、结合度试验和粘结试验中对取样量的规定；——增加了试验了报告的内容，并把试验报告统一放置在附录B中；——对粘结试验装置进行了改时，在凹模中心增加了一个直径6mm通孔；本标准规定了采用电磁、磁通、漏磁和剩磁方法检测铁磁性钢丝绳的仪器校准和应用规则。
