本标准规定了在特定温度和相对湿度条件下测定硬质泡沫塑料尺寸稳定性的方法。本标准适用于硬质泡沫塑料尺寸稳定型的测定。本标准等同采用ＩＳＯ２７９６：１９８６《硬质泡沫塑料　尺寸稳定性试验方法》。本标准与ＧＢ／Ｔ８８１１—１９８８的主要差异如下：
———增加了前言；
———增加了术语和定义；
———规定给定的试样尺寸为最小尺寸；
———试样从选定的试验条件下取出后，放置时间由１ｈ更改为１ｈ～３ｈ；
———试验报告中增加了“尺寸变化率的算术平均值”的信息。
本标准自实施之日起，代替ＧＢ／Ｔ８８１１—１９８８。
