本标准规定了钢制零件薄表面总硬化层深度或有效硬化层深度的含义及其测定方法。本标准适用于：a.表面总硬化层深度或有效硬化层深度小于或等于0.3mm的钢制零件。B.钢制零件表面硬化层一般用下列方法获得：机械处理（喷丸强化、滚轧强化、喷镀等）、化学热处理（渗碳淬火、碳氮共渗、氮碳共渗、渗氮处理等）、热处理（感应淬火或火焰淬火等）。C.本标准不适用于硬化层与基体金属之间无过渡区的零件。
