GB/T 9996《棉及化纤纯纺、混纺纱线外观质量黑板检验方法》分为两个部分，本部分为GB/T 9996的第1部分。本部分代替GB/T 9996-2001《棉及化纤纯纺、混纺纱线外观质量黑板检验方法》。GB/T 9996的本部分规定了黑板上显现的纱线条干均匀程度及外观质量与标准样照对比的纱线外观质量黑板检验方法。本部分用综合评定法来评定纱线黑板的外观质量。本部分适用于棉型化纤纯纺纱线、棉型化纤与化纤混纺纱线、纯棉及棉与化纤混纺纱线的外观质量品等的评定。本部分也适用于环锭机制机织及针织用梳棉、精梳纯棉纱线、气流纺纱线外观质量品等的评定。本部分不适用于毛纺纱线外观质量品等的评定。本部分与GB/T 9996-2001相比主要变化如下：
