本标准规定了医疗照射的放射防护基本要求。
本标准适用于以下医用照射的放射防护：
a)作为受检者与患者医学诊断和治疗的处方内容所接受的照射；
b)作为职业健康监护的内容个人所接受的照射；
c)群体健康检查中个人所接受的照射；
d)在医学或生物学，诊断或治疗的研究项目中健康个人或患者自愿参与受到的照射；
e)法医程序中引起的个人所接受的照射。
本标准也适用于有意和自动扶助医疗照射中病人的个人接受的照射，但不适用于职业需要受到的照射。
