1 Scope
This specification specifies the detailed requirements for hot-rolled alloy structure steel sheets and plates for aviation.
This specification is applicable to hot-rolled alloy structure steel sheets and plates for aviation with a nominal thickness of 1mm to 100mm. The thickness of steel sheets and plates intended for stamping shall not exceed 10mm.

3 Requirements
3.1 Smelting method
Steel shall be smelted by electric arc furnace (or converter) + secondary refining, or electric arc furnace (or converter) + electroslag remelting. As agreed by the supplier and the purchaser and indicated in the contract, other smelting methods may also be adopted.
3.2 Designation and chemical composition
3.2.1 The designation and chemical composition (melting analysis) of steel shall meet those specified in Table 1.

3 Requirements
