本标准规定了发电厂和变电所自用三相变压器的产品型号、性能参数、技术要求、测试项目及方法、标志、起吊、包装、运输和贮存。
本标准适用于额定频率为50Hz的发电厂和变电所自用三相干式和油浸式变压器，其中包括：
电压等级为20kV级及以下、额定容量为30kVA～16 000kVA的干式双绕组变压器；
电压等级为3kV～500kV级、额定容量为30kVA～40 000kVA的油浸式双绕组变压器；
电压等级为15kV～500kV级、额定容量为16 000kVA～90 000kVA的油浸式分裂变压器。
