Foreword Codeofchina.com is in charge of this English translation. In case of any doubt about the English translation, the Chinese original shall be considered authoritative. This standard is developed in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009. This standard replaces JB/T 5555-2001 Transformers for machine tools, and the following main technical changes have been made with respect to JB/T 5555-2001: ——the rated supply voltage and rated output voltage of the transformer have been increased to 660V; ——the classification of rated insulation voltage has been changed, and 660V has been adjusted to 690V; ——"Installation class II" has been canceled in the installation class; ——the voltage value and duration of power-frequency withstand voltage test have been adjusted in the dielectric performance test; ——the cyclic damp heat test at a high temperature of 40℃ for a test period of 6 days and nights has been specified in humidity resistance test. ——the specific requirements for no-load loss of transformers have been specified; ——the inducted withstand voltage test has been canceled in sampling test; ——the efficiency test has been specified as a special test. This standard was proposed by China Machinery Industry Federation. This standard is under the jurisdiction of Chengdu Machine Tool Electrical Appliance Research Institute. The previous editions of this standard are as follows: ——JB/T 5555-1991 and JB/T 5555-2001.   Introduction Through the revision of this standard, the technical requirements and inspection rules of transformers for machine tools are further standardized and updated, which can be used as the basis for the design, production and use of single-phase control transformers with AC 50Hz (or 60Hz), rated supply voltage to 660V, rated output voltage to 660V and rated output power to 3,000VA, so as to fully meet the market demands and use needs. These transformers are used in the electrical systems of machine tools and other mechanical equipment as power transformers for control power, lighting power, signal power and electronic equipment. Transformers for machine tools 1 Scope This standard specifies the terms and definitions, symbols, classification, characteristics, relevant information of products, normal use, installation and transportation conditions, structure and performance requirements and tests of transformers for machine tools (hereinafter referred to as transformers). This standard is applicable to single-phase control transformers. 2 Normative references The following referenced documents are indispensable for the application of this document.
