Specification for Flexible Insulating Sleeving-Specification Requirements for Individual Types of Sleeving-Glass Textile Sleeving with Silicone Elastomer Coating
1 The main technical contents are the same and the following changes have been made with respect to IEC 60684-3-400/402:
1.1 In the IEC standard, it is clear that the sleeving has a braided or knitted construction, however, according to the actual situation and development trend of China in producing the sleeving over the years, only braided construction is adopted in this standard.
1.2 In the dimensional requirements, the IEC standard specifies that the internal diameter of the sleeving is usually 0.3~25 mm, with a total of 17 specifications. Now, according to the actual production situation of Chinese manufacturers and the requirements of users, 7 specifications with nominal internal diameters of 3.5, 7.0, 9.0, 14.0, 18.0, 23.0 and 27.0 mm have been added, with a total of 24 specifications. The tolerance on internal diameter and the wall thickness have also been specified.
1.3 Since seven specifications of internal diameter of the sleeving are added to this standard with respect to the IEC standard, the mandrel diameter of seven specifications is correspondingly added in Table 5.
1.4 According to the national conditions, the content of 4.5 is added to this standard.
2 The following main technical changes have been made with respect to JB/T 8151.1-95:
2.1 Change of name and model.
In JB/T8151.1-95, the standard name is "glass coated sleeving with silicone elastomer coating" and the model is 2752. According to the principle of equivalent adoption of standard, the name of this standard is changed to "Specification for flexible insulating sleeving—Specification requirements for individual types of sleeving—Glass textile sleeving with silicone elastomer coating", and the model is changed to 2760 according to JB/T 2197.
2.2 The requirements for the colour of sleeving are added.
2.3 Internal diameter and wall thickness.
Since seven specifications of internal diameters, i.e., 3.5, 7.0, 9.0, 14.0, 18.0, 23.0 and 27.0 mm are added, the tolerance on internal diameter and the wall thickness of model 1, 2 and 3 sleeving are specified accordingly.
