本标准规定了磁座钻的基本参数和型式、技术要求、试验方法和检验规则等要求。
本标准适用于在一般环境条件下，借助直流电磁铁吸附于金属等能被磁体吸附的材料上，由电钻（包括电子调速电钻和机械调速电钻）进行旋转切削加工的交直流两用、单相串励、三相工频磁座钻。
本标准不适用于永磁吸附的磁座钻。
