1.0.1 This Specification is formulated with a view to accomplish the economy, rationality and quality guarantee of taper threaded splices of rebar (hereafter referred to as "splices") used in concrete structure. 1.0.2 This Specification is applicable to rebar slices with the bar diameter of 16~40mm in the concrete structure of industrial and civil architecture. 1.0.3 Rebar jointed by taper threaded splices of rebar shall comply with the requirements of current national standard "Hot Rolled Ribbed Steel Bars for the Reinforcement of Concrete" GB 1499 and "Remained Heat Treatment Ribbed Steel Bars for the Reinforcement of Concrete" GB 13014. Not only the requirements stipulated in this Specification, but also those in the current relevant ones of the nation shall be complied with.
