本标准适用于煤矿水中游离二氧化碳的侧定。在本标准规定条件下，测定游离二氧化碳范围为0.1 ～50 mg/L。
本标准不适用于溶解性固体浓度大于1000mg/L或总硬度(以CaCO3计)大于500mg/L以及含除碳酸外的其他酸的水样中游离二氧化碳的测定。
