1 Scope 1.1 This standard gives design, fabrication, inspection and acceptance requirements for demountable plate heat exchanger ("plate heat exchanger" for short). 1.2 This standard is applicable to gasketed and semi-welded plate heat exchangers. The authorization and agreement of the purchaser are required when the plate heat exchangers of other types are designed, fabricated and inspecting by making reference to this standard. 1.3 The scope of the design temperature to which this standard is applicable shall be determined according to the scope of allowable service temperature of gasket and other element materials. 2 Normative References The following referenced documents are indispensable references, only the edition cited applies.
