Vessel support - Part 3: Lug support
1 Scope
1.1 This part specifies the structural types, series parameters and dimensions, materials, designations, manufacturing technical requirements, and selection instructions for lug supports.
1.2 This part is applicable to:
a) Vertical cylindrical vessels with a nominal diameter of not greater than 4,000mm;
b) Vessels with an allowable service temperature range of -100℃ to 300℃.

The type characteristics of lug supports are shown in Table 1.

4 Series parameters and dimensions
4.1 Type A lug supports shall comply with the requirements of Figure 1, Figure 2, and Table 2; Type B lug supports shall comply with the requirements of Figure 3, Figure 4, and Table 3; Type C lug supports shall comply with the requirements of Figure 5, Figure 6, and Table 4.
4.2 The thickness of the backing plate for the supports shall meet the requirements specified in this part. Generally, it shall be equal to the thickness of the cylinder, but the thickness may also be increased according to actual needs.
6 Designations
6.1 Designation methods
Note 1: If the backing plate thickness δ3 is different from some dimensions, it shall be noted in the part name or remarks column of the equipment drawing.
Note 2: The materials of support and backing plate shall be noted in the material column of the equipment drawing, with the notation method as follows: support material/backing plate material.
6.2 Designation examples
