本标准规定了家用和类似用途软水机的术语和定义、分类与命名、要求、试验方法、检验规则和标志、包装、运输、贮存。
本标准适用于以市政自来水或其他集中式供水为原水，以阳离子交换为软化方法，具备冲洗和再生功能、工作压力不大于0.6MPa、额定电压不超过250V，供家庭或类似场所使用的软水机。
注：非用电型软水机，除本标准中的涉电内容外，其余均适用于本标准。
