1 Scope This standard specifies the purpose, conditions, technical requirements (including those for safety), procedures and result evaluation of sinusoidal and random vibration tests of solid rocket motors [hereinafter referred to as “motor(s)”]. This standard is applicable to vibration test on motors for strategic and tactical missiles and aerospace carriers, as well as vibration test on motor components and their structural models. 2 Normative references The following normative documents contain provisions which, through reference in this standard, constitute provisions of this standard.
