标准规定了圆柱直齿渐开线花键量规（以下简称：“量规”）的术语和定义、符号及说明、分类、型式与尺寸参数、公差、基本要求、技术要求、检验方法、检验规则、标志与包装、质量保证与服务、环保要求等。
本标准规定的量规适用于检验GB/T 3478《圆柱直齿渐开线花键（米制模数齿侧配合）》中规定的分度圆直径≤180mm的花键，对于分度圆直径＞180mm可参照使用。
本标准规定的量规也适用于检验DIN 5480-2006《渐开线花键联结》、ANSI B92.1-1996《渐开线花键及检验》、JIS B1603-199
