本标准规定了炭电极的外形尺寸及允许偏差、要求、试验方法、检验规则、包装、标志、储存、运输和质量证明书。
本标准适用于以优质无烟煤、石油焦为主要原料，经成型、焙烧、机械加工而制成，供金属硅、黄磷、铁合金、电石、刚玉等矿热炉做导电材料的炭电极。
