1 Scope This standard specifies the delivery protocol between local switch (LS) and customer premises equipment (CPE) as well as the technical specifications for adapting to the caller identity deliver service of LS and CPE. This standard is applicable to the realization of caller identity deliver on analog subscriber line based on PSTN. This standard describes the realization of caller identity deliver service based on PSTN. This standard excludes all the internetwork signaling between digital stored program control (SPC) switch for caller identity delivery. 2 Normative References The following standards contain provisions which, through reference in this standard, constitute provisions of this standard. For dated reference, subsequent amendments (excluding corrigendum contents) or revisions do not apply. User: the object using CPE to control or obtain caller identity. Originating switch: the LS at calling terminal. Terminal switch: the LS at called terminal. Ring burst: the ringing current signal before the first ring, which is sent by the terminal switch. The level and frequency of ring burst are the same as those of the common ringing signals, while its duration and interval are indefinite.
