1 Scope
This part specifies the test method for SMS signaling of mobile station for 800MHz/2GHz cdma2000 digital cellular mobile telecommunication network, including SMS relay layer test, SMS transport layer test and SMS teleservice layer test, etc.
This part is applicable to 800MHz/2GHz cdma2000 mobile communication terminals supporting CSIM/RUIM card (with R-UIM) and not supporting CSIM/RUIM card (without UIM), hereinafter referred to as mobile terminal. CSIM/RUIM card includes those supporting UIMID and EUIMID.

Test shall be carried out in normal test environment which refers to the combination of the following various defined conditions:
——Temperature: 10℃ to 35℃;
——Relative humidity: 5% to 85%;
——Power supply: nominal value as specified by the manufacturer;
——Vibration: negligible;
——Test frequency point: universal channel 283 or 384, or other frequency points.
Figure 1 shows the reference test environment and the connection of instruments.
