本标准规定了无线通信设备（WD）和助听器（HA）之间的兼容性分类要求和测试方法。本标准适用于与助听器同时使用的无线通信设备和与无线通信设备同时使用的助听器。本标准适用于频率范围为800～950MHz和1.6～2GHz之间的通信业务，包括无绳电话、移动电话和个人通信服务（PCS）等，随着2.4GHz以及其他频率范围的业务的普及，今后的版本中也可能会增加相应测试内容。本标准适用于有声学输出的所有类型的声音输出助听器，包括（例如）：耳背式助听器(BTE)、耳内式助听器(ITE)、耳道式助听器(ITC)、完全深耳道式助听器(CIC)等类型。测量方法规定助听器运行在声音输入模式(麦克风输入)或电磁线圈（T-coil）输入模式下进行测量。
