1 Scope
This standard specifies the testing method for network compatibility of (HRPD) (Phase 2) air interface in 800MHz/2GHz Cdma2000 digital cellular mobile communication networks, that is, the testing content for network compatibility of mobile communication terminals (i.e., access terminals, hereinafter refers to as AT), including system access and testing in idle mode, basic function testing, handoff testing, authentication testing, mixed service testing, service performance testing and service application testing in data connection mode.
This standard is applicable to the AT and access network (hereinafter refer to as AN) of the digital cellular mobile communication system for the high rate packet data (HRPD) (phase 2) in 800MHz/2GHz Cdma2000 digital cellular mobile communication networks.
This standard is also applicable to the ATs developed in phase 1 of HRPD since the phase 2 of HRPD has backward compatibility with the phase 1 of HRPD. This standard is applicable to the AT (with 800MHz/2GHz Cdma2000 high rate packet data (HRPD)) that supports UIM card (with R-UIM) and does not support UIM card (ROM-UIM).
Dual-mode hybrid mode and test items that require cdma2000 function services are not applicable for the single-mode AT that only support cdma2000 HRPD (hereafter referred to as HRPD). Dual-mode hybrid mode and test items that require cdma2000 function services are applicable for the dual-mode access terminals (Hybrid AT, hereinafter refer to as dual-mode AT) that support both HRPD service functions and cdma2000 function services.
