YS/T 427-2012 Tantalum pentoxide
1 Scope
This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, storage, quality certificate and contract (or order form) of Tantalum pentoxide.
This standard is applicable to tantalum pentoxide prepared by liquid-liquid extraction method, which is used in the production of tantalum powder, tantalum bars and tantalum carbide.

3 Requirements
3.1 Product classification
The products are classified into three designations by their chemical composition: FTa2O5-1, FTa2O5-2 and FTa2O5-3.
3.2 Chemical component
Product impurity elements shall be as specified in Table 1 and the content of Ta2O5 shall be the result of 100% minus the measured impurity content listed in Table 1.
