Note: See GB/T 28772, ASTM D4485 and SAEJ183 for detailed classification information. 4.1.2 This document does not specify the quality grades of general internal combustion engine oils. For general internal combustion engine oils, the grades can be combined based on the quality grade of diesel engine oil in this document and the quality grade of gasoline engine oil in GB 11121 as required. Any general internal combustion engine oil shall meet all the technical requirements of its gasoline oil quality grade and diesel oil quality grade at the same time. 4.1.3 For each quality grade, the viscosity shall be graded according to GB/T 14906. Note: See SAEJ300 for detailed classification information of viscosity. 4.2 Product marking 4.2.1 Diesel engine oil products shall be marked in the following way: Quality grade Viscosity grade Diesel engine oil Example: CI-4 10W-40 diesel engine oil, CD 40 diesel engine oil. 4.2.2 General internal combustion engine oils shall be in the following way: Gasoline engine oil quality grade / diesel engine oil quality grade Viscosity grade General internal combustion engine oil or Diesel engine oil quality grade / gasoline engine oil quality grade Viscosity grade General internal combustion engine oil Example: SJ/CF-4 5W-30 general internal combustion engine oil or CF-4/SJ 5W-30 general internal combustion engine oil, the former means that its formula preferentially meets the technical requirements of SJ gasoline engine oil, and the latter means that its formula preferentially meets the technical requirements of CF-4 diesel engine oil, both of which meet all the technical requirements of SJ gasoline engine oil and CF-4 diesel engine oil. Note: The order of the quality grade of gasoline engine oil or diesel engine oil shall be determined by the production enterprise according to the characteristics of the product formula.

Note: See GB/T 28772, ASTM D4485 and SAEJ183 for detailed classification information. 4.1.2 This document does not specify the quality grades of general internal combustion engine oils. For general internal combustion engine oils, the grades can be combined based on the quality grade of diesel engine oil in this document and the quality grade of gasoline engine oil in GB 11121 as required. Any general internal combustion engine oil shall meet all the technical requirements of its gasoline oil quality grade and diesel oil quality grade at the same time. 4.1.3 For each quality grade, the viscosity shall be graded according to GB/T 14906. Note: See SAEJ300 for detailed classification information of viscosity. 4.2 Product marking 4.2.1 Diesel engine oil products shall be marked in the following way: Quality grade Viscosity grade Diesel engine oil Example: CI-4 10W-40 diesel engine oil, CD 40 diesel engine oil. 4.2.2 General internal combustion engine oils shall be in the following way: Gasoline engine oil quality grade / diesel engine oil quality grade Viscosity grade General internal combustion engine oil or Diesel engine oil quality grade / gasoline engine oil quality grade Viscosity grade General internal combustion engine oil Example: SJ/CF-4 5W-30 general internal combustion engine oil or CF-4/SJ 5W-30 general internal combustion engine oil, the former means that its formula preferentially meets the technical requirements of SJ gasoline engine oil, and the latter means that its formula preferentially meets the technical requirements of CF-4 diesel engine oil, both of which meet all the technical requirements of SJ gasoline engine oil and CF-4 diesel engine oil. Note: The order of the quality grade of gasoline engine oil or diesel engine oil shall be determined by the production enterprise according to the characteristics of the product formula.
