Codeofchina.com is in charge of this English translation. In case of any doubt about the English translation, the Chinese original shall be considered authoritative. This standard is developed in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009. This standard replaces GB 25502-2010 Minimum Allowable Values of Water Efficiency and Water Efficiency Grades for Water Closets and the following technical changes have been made with respect to GB 25502-2010 (the previous edition): ——Term and definition of average water consumption of water closet is added; ——Calculation formula of average water consumption in 4.2 of original standard is modified according to GB 6952; ——Water efficiency grade index in Chapter 4 is revised. This standard was proposed by National Development and Reform Commission and Ministry of Water Resources. This standard is under the jurisdiction of Subcommittee on Water Use Efficiency of Product and Appliance, National Technical Committee on Industrial Water Conservation of Standardization Administration of China (SAC/TC 442/SC 1). The previous edition of this standard replaced by this standard is: ——GB 25502-2010. Minimum Allowable Values of Water Efficiency and Water Efficiency Grades for Water Closets 1 Scope This standard specifies the minimum allowable values of water efficiency, evaluating values of water conservation, water efficiency grade and test method of water closet. This standard is applicable to evaluation for water efficiency of various water closets installed in cold water pipeline in building facilities and used on the condition of water supply pressure not greater than 0.6MPa. 2 Normative References The following referenced documents are indispensable for the application of this document. For dated references, only the edition cited applies. For undated references, the latest edition of the normative document (including any amendments) applies. GB 6952 Sanitary Wares 3 Terms and Definitions For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB 6952 and the followings apply. 3.1 average water consumption of water closet water consumption of water closet measured and calculated according to the test method and calculation formula specified in the standard 3.2 minimum allowable values of water efficiency for water closet permissible maximum water consumption of water closet in accordance with the general technical requirements, flushing function requirements, matchability technical requirements under the test condition specified in the standard Note: water consumption of single-flush water closet refers to the average water consumption and that of dual-flush water closet includes average water consumption and full-flushing maximum water consumption. 3.3 evaluating values of water conservation for products permissible maximum water consumption of water-saving water closet in accordance with the general technical requirements, flushing function requirements, matchability technical requirements under the test condition specified in the standard Notes: 1 Evaluating values of water conservation is adopted for evaluating water-saving water closet. 2 Water consumption of single-flush water closet refers to the average water consumption and that of dual-flush water closet includes average water consumption and full-flush maximum water consumption. 4 Technical Requirements 4.1 Basic requirements Under the test condition specified in the standard, sanitary ware water closet shall meet the general technical requirements, functional requirements, matchability technical requirements specified in GB 6952, and the flushing function requirements and matchability technical requirements of other water closets shall meet the requirements of corresponding standard. Water tank accessories shall meet requirements of relevant standards. 4.2 Water efficiency grade of water closet 4.2.1 Water efficiency grade of water closet is classified into three grades, where Grade 3 water efficiency is the minimum. 4.2.2 The water consumption of water closet of each grade shall meet the requirements specified in Table 1. Table 1 Water Efficiency Grade Index of Water Closet L Water efficiency grade of water closet Grade 1 Grade 2 Grade 3 Average water consumption of water closet ≤4.0 ≤5.0 ≤6.4 Full-flush water consumption of dual-flush water closet ≤5.0 ≤6.0 ≤8.0 Note: in each water efficiency grade of dual-flush water closet, the half-flush average water consumption is not greater than 70% the maximum limit value of the full-flush water consumption. 4.3 Minimum allowable values of water efficiency for water closet Water consumption of water closet specified for Grade 3 water efficiency. 4.4 Evaluating values of water conservation for products Water consumption of water closet specified for Grade 2 water efficiency. 5 Calculation and Test Method 5.1 Calculation for average water consumption of water closet 5.1.1 Average water consumption of single-flush water closet Average water consumption of single-flush water closet is namely the arithmetic average of measured water consumption. 5.1.2 Average water consumption of dual-flush water closet Average water consumption of dual-flush water closet is calculated according to Formula (1): (1) Where, V——the average water consumption of dual-flush water closet, L; V1——the arithmetic average of full-flush water consumption of dual-flush water closet, L; V2——the arithmetic average of half-flush water consumption of dual-flush water closet, L. 5.2 Test method of water closet The water consumption test of water closet is carried out according to the test method specified in GB 6952.
