本标准代替GB/T 11793.1-1989《PVC 塑料窗建筑物理性能分级》、GB/T 11793.2-1989;《PVC 塑料窗力学性能、耐候性技术条件》、GB/T 11793.3-1989《塑料窗力学性能、耐候性试验方法》。
本标准规定了未增塑聚氯乙烯（PVC-U）塑料门窗力学性能及耐候性的术语和定义、试验方法及试验报告。
本标准适用于未增塑聚氯乙烯（PVC-U）型材制作的建筑用门窗的力学性能以及耐候性检测。
本标准与GB/T 11793.1-1989、GB/T 11793.2-1989、GB/T 11793.3-1989主要差异如下：
———删除了GB/T 11793.1-1989、GB/T 11793.2-1989的内容，保留了GB/T 11793.3-1989的主要内容；
———增加了力学性能试验项目顺序的要求；
———增加了未增塑聚氯乙烯（PVC-U）塑料门的相关试验方法；
———增加了的锁紧器（执手）开关力试验；
———将开关疲劳试验修改为反复启闭性能试验；
———修改了力学性能中焊接角破坏力的试验及结果的计算方法；
