本标准规定了气瓶定期检验机构（以下简称检验机构）的技术条件。
本标准适用于从事无缝气瓶（含钢质无缝气瓶、铝合金无缝气瓶、不锈钢无缝气瓶和汽车用压缩天然气钢瓶）、焊接气瓶（含钢质焊接气瓶和不锈钢焊接气瓶）、液化石油气钢瓶（含液化石油气钢瓶和液化二甲醚钢瓶）、车用液化石油气钢瓶（含车用液化石油气钢瓶和车用液化二甲醚钢瓶）、溶解乙炔气瓶、缠绕气瓶（包括小容积金属内胆纤维缠绕气瓶、金属内胆纤维环缠绕气瓶〔含车用〕和金属内胆纤维全缠绕气瓶〔含车用〕）、绝热气瓶（含焊接绝热气瓶和汽车用液化天然气气瓶）的检验机构。
