The main alloying element is followed by a number indicating its nominal mass fraction, which is the round-off integer of this element's average mass fraction. The letters "YZ" ["Y" and "Z" are respectively the first letters of Chinese phonetic alphabets "Ya" and "Zhu" (die casting)] added before the alloy designation indicates that it is a die casting one. 4.2 Representation of alloy code For an alloy code, "YL" ["Y" and "Z" are respectively the first letters of Chinese phonetic alphabets "Ya" and "Zhu" (die casting)] represent die casting aluminum alloys, and the first numbers after "YL" are 1, 2, 3, and 4 respectively represent Al-Si, AI-Cu, AI-Mg, and AI-Zn series alloys, representing the code of the alloy. The second and third numbers after "YL" are sequence numbers.
