本标准与日本JIS S 2093-1996《家用燃气用具的试验方法》的一致性程序为非等效。
本标准代替GB/T 16411-1996《家用燃气用具的通用试验方法》。
本标准与GB/T 16411-1996相比，主要变化如下：
——适用范围由液化石油气、天然气、人工煤气改为GB/T 13611规定的燃气；
——增加了基准状态的要求；
——给出了试验气压力具体数值；
——修改热流量公式为基准状态下的计算公式；
——扩充了干烟气中一氧化碳含量的计算公式；
——干烟气中一氧化碳含量的试验条件改为“0-2”气；
——修改了燃气密封垫片、垫圈类材料的耐燃气性能试验方法；
——修改电气安全条款使其符合IEC标准的要求。
