本标准是修改采用国际标准ISO 14119：1998《机械安全带防护装置的联锁装置设计和选择原则》（英文版），本标准与ISO 14119的一致性程度为修改采用。本标准规定了不受能源类型限制的带防护装置的联锁装置（GB/T 15706.1-1995中给出下列各条的定义：3.23.1“联锁装置”，3.22.4“联锁防护装置”和3.22.5“带防护锁的联锁装置”）的设计和选择的原则。本标准也对电气联锁装置提出了特别的要求。本标准适用于启动联锁装置的防护装置的各部件。
