本标准规定了筛分法测定淀粉细度的方法。
本标准适用于干燥的粉末状淀粉和变性淀粉。本标准与GB/T 12096-1989相比主要修改如下：
———标准名称改为《淀粉细度测定》；
———修订了适用范围：改为干燥的粉末状淀粉和变性淀粉；
———增加了检测方法：用标准检验筛的方法作为仲裁法测定淀粉的细度，规定了检验筛的频率、振幅以及筛面的孔径等项目；
———增加了“7　实验报告”。
