本标准规定了直向砂轮机基本参数和型式、技术要求、试验方法和检验规则等要求。
本标准适用于一般环境条件下，采用通用平形砂轮，用圆周面对钢铁进行磨削的单相串励、三相工频和三相中频直向砂轮机。
本标准不适用于直向碗形砂轮机、手持式软轴砂轮机等其他类型的砂磨工具。
