1 Scope This standard specifies the terms and definitions, requirements, inspection methods, inspection classification rules as well as marking, packaging, transportation and storage of washed garments. This standard is applicable to washed garments with textiles as main fabric. Button, ornament button, zipper and other accessories shall be surface-smooth and free of burr, damage, defect and accessible sharp tip and edge. Zippers shall be good in meshing and run smoothly. Note: Accessible sharp tip and edge are any sharp and tip on finished product that may cause harm to human skin under normal wearing. 4.3.3.4 Filler Fiber or its product that meets the requirements is selected according to relevant national standards. 4.4 Wrap and weft yarn direction 4.4.1 The yarn inclination of the top collar, back and sleeve shall not be greater than 3% and the front hem is free from any sticking-up. 4.4.2 The horizontal and longitudinal yarn inclinations of trousers and skirts shall not be greater than 3% and 1.5% respectively. 4.4.3 The inclination of strip and plaid pattern shall not be greater than 3%. 4.5 Strip and plaid matching 4.5.1 Fabrics with obvious strips or plaids of 1.0cm or above shall comply with those specified in Table 1. Table 1 In: cm Part name Requirements for strip and plaid matching Remarks Left and right front Strips shall be straight and plaids shall match each other horizontally; the mutual difference shall not greater than 0.3. If the sizes of strips and plaids are different, the front half garment length shall prevail. Pocket and front Strips shall match each other, plaids shall match with each other and the mutual difference shall not be greater than 0.3. The pockets on inclined fabric shall be bilaterally symmetrical, and the mutual difference shall not be greater than 0.5 (except shadow strips and plaids). If the sizes of strips and plaids are different, the forepart of the pocket shall prevail. Collar point and lapel The strips and plaids are symmetrical; the mutual difference shall not be greater than 0.2. In case of any shadow strip and plaid, visible strip and plaid shall prevail. Sleeve Strips shall be smooth and straight and plaids shall match each other horizontally; the sleeve top shall prevail; two sleeves shall be symmetrical; the mutual difference shall not be greater than 0.8. - Back seam Strips shall match each other, plaids shall match each other horizontally; the mutual difference shall not be greater than 0.3. If the sizes of strips and plaids are different, the upper back shall prevail. Side seam Plaids shall match each other horizontally and the mutual difference for the arm hole below 10.0 shall not be greater than 0.4. - Side seam of trouser and skirt The plaids below the knee line are matched with each other with the mutual difference not greater than 0.4. Visible strips and plaids shall prevail. Front center seam of trouser and skirt The strips are straight with permissible inclination not greater than 1.0. - Note: Except in special design. 4.5.2 The grain direction of nip-up and down pile and checkerboard weave material all over the body is consistent, except in special design. 4.5.3 Fabrics with special pattern shall be subject to the main drawing and the grain direction all over the body shall be consistent. 4.6 Appearance defects The defect permissibility for each part of finished product shall be in accordance with those specified in Table 2. The division of finished product parts is detailed in Figure 1. One defect within permissibility is permissible at each part. Defects not listed in Table 2 are implemented by reference to similar defects in this table according to their form.
