1 Scope This part specifies the limits and methods of measurement of six hazardous substances in the telecommunication terminal products, i.e., lead (Pb), mercury (Hg), cadmium (Cd), hexavalent chromium [[Cr(VI)], polybrominated biphenyls (PBB), and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE). For the purpose of this part, the limits are applicable to the telecommunication terminal products listed in the Key management catalogue for electronic information product pollution control, while the methods of measurement are applicable to telecommunication terminal products. 2 Normative references The following documents contain provisions which, through reference in this part of GB/T 22727, constitute provisions of this part. For dated references, subsequent amendments (excluding corrections) to, or revisions, of any of these publications do not apply. However, parties to agreements based on this part are encouraged to investigate the possibility of applying the most recent editions of the normative documents indicated below. For undated references, the latest editions apply to this part. GB 18871 Basic Standards for protection against ionizing radiation and for the safety of radiation sources GB/Z 20288 General disassembly requirements for testing hazardous substances in electrical and electronic products 3 Terms and definitions For the purposes of this part, the following terms and definitions apply. 3.1 telecommunication terminal products the telecommunication equipment that is connected to the terminal of a public telecommunication network to provide users with functions of transmitting and receiving information, and the information technology equipment that is directly connected to the communication network 3.2 screening a method for preliminarily quantifying the concentration of a to-be-measured element in the measured substance 3.3 special electronic materials a mixture of two or three of metallic materials, organic materials and inorganic nonmetallic materials Note: for example, circuit board materials, conductive adhesive and semiconductor functional materials. 3.4 inorganic nonmetallic materials the materials consisting of oxides, carbides, nitrides and borides of certain elements as well as silicates, aluminates, phosphates and other substances a generic term for all materials other than organic polymer materials and metallic materials Note: for example, glass, ceramics, etc. 3.5 matrix a material or substance that contains or is attached with an analyte
