3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1
stainless steel pliable corrugated tubing used in gas piping systems
stainless steel corrugated hose with an outer coating, designed for gas delivery systems, whose length cannot be determined before construction and needs to be finalized on-site
Note: hereinafter referred to as “hose”.
3.2
fitting
general term for on-site installed connecting components such as straight couplings, elbows, and tees, which are used to connect hoses to other gas pipelines (or accessories)
3.3
the tube without protection coat
corrugated tube that has undergone solution treatment and is free of a coating
Note: A corrugated tube refers to a tubular shell with a corrugated generatrix.
3.4
protecting coat
covering material applied to the hose for protecting the tube without protecting coat (the base tube)
[Source: GB 41317-2024,3.4, modified]
3.5
leak-hunting ability
function that detects gas leakage inside the base tube (the tube without protecting coat) by utilizing the gas-permeable performance of the protecting coat and fittings
4 Specifications, classification and model preparation
4.1 Specifications
Hoses and fittings are classified into nominal sizes of DN10, DN13, DN15, DN20, DN25, and DN32.
4.2 Classification of pipe fittings
4.2.1 Divided by function into the following two type:
a) Pipe fittings with leak detection function, code X;
b) Pipe fittings without leak detection function, without code.
4.2.2 According to external types, it can be divided into the following three types:
a) S-type (straight through);
b) L-shaped (bend);
c) T-shaped (three-way).
4.3 Model designation
4.3.1 Hose
The rules for the designation of hose models are as follows:
Example: The model of stainless steel corrugated hose for gas transmission with a nominal size of DN15 is represented as: RSB-15-GB/T 26002
4.3.2 Pipe fittings
The rules for numbering pipe fittings are as follows:
Note: The nominal size of the pipe fittings is expressed in the order of the nominal size of the front end, middle end, and rear end.
Example 1: The model of the front end connected to a DN15 nominal size hose, the rear end connected to a DN15 nominal size gas pipeline, and the straight through pipe fittings with leak detection function are represented as:
RBG-X-S15 × 15-GB/T 26002
Example 2: The model of the front end connected to a DN20 nominal size hose, the rear end connected to DN15 and DN20 nominal size gas hoses respectively, and the three-way pipe fittings without leakage detection function are represented as:
RBG-T20 × 15 × 20-GB/T 26002
5 Materials, appearance, structure and dimensions
5.1 Materials
5.1.1 Raw pipes and fittings should be made of materials specified in Table 1 or other materials with equivalent or higher performance.
5.1.2 The hose coating shall comply with the provisions of relevant standards such as
GB/T 8815 and GB/T 15065.
