As required by the purchaser, steel pipes beyond the dimension specified in GB/T 17395 may be supplied upon negotiation between the supplier and the purchaser. 5.2 Tolerances for outside diameter and wall thickness 5.2.1 The tolerances for outside diameter of steel pipes shall meet those specified in Table 1. Table 1 Tolerances for outside diameter of steel pipes Dimensions in millimetres Manufacturing method Tolerance Hot rolled (expanded) steel pipe ±1%D or ±0.50, whichever is greater Cold drawn (rolled) steel pipe ±0.75D% or ±0.30, whichever is greater 5.2.2 The tolerances for wall thickness of hot rolled (expanded) steel pipes shall meet those specified in Table 2.
