Codeofchina.com is in charge of this English translation. In case of any doubt about the English translation, the Chinese original shall be considered authoritative. GB/T 33012 consists of the following parts under the general title Road vehicles - Vehicle test methods for electrical disturbances from narrowband radiated electromagnetic energy: ——Part 1: General; ——Part 2: Off-vehicle radiation sources; ——Part 3: On-board transmitter simulation; ——Part 4: Bulk current injection (BCI). This is Part 4 of GB/T 33012. This part is developed in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009. This part has been redrafted and modified in relation to ISO 11451-4: 2006 Road vehicles - Vehicle test methods for electrical disturbances from narrowband radiated electromagnetic energy - Part 4: Bulk current injection (BCL). The technical deviations between this part and ISO 11451-4: 2006 and their justifications are as follows: ——Clause 1 is normatively prepared in accordance with GB/T 1.1-2009; ——the normative reference ISO 11451-1: 2005 is changed to GB/T 33012.1-2016 modified in relation to ISO 11451-1: 2005; ——the clause “Terms and definitions” is added; ——in order to realize the consistency with Part 1 in the understanding and representation method, I, II, III, IV, V given in Table A.1 are changed to L1, L2, etc., and I, II, III, etc. are understood as statuses I, II, III, etc.; The following editorial changes have been made in this part: ——Clause 3 of the original international standard is changed to Clause 4; ——Sub-clause 4.3 of the original international standard stands alone as Clause 6; ——Clause 4 of the original international standard is changed to Clause 5, and Sub-clause 4.2 is described in two subsections; ——Clause 5 of the original international standard is changed to Clause 7; Annex A of the original international standard is changed to Annex B, Annex B to Annex C and Annex C to Annex A. ——In order to be consistent with other standards, the note “See GB/T 33012.1 for detailed description on FPSC” is added in Annex A. This part was proposed by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China. This part is under the jurisdiction of the National Technical Committee of Auto Standardization (SAC/TC 114). Road vehicles - Vehicle test methods for electrical disturbances from narrowband radiated electromagnetic energy - Part 4: Bulk current injection (BCI) 1 Scope This part of GB/T 33012 specifies the test conditions, test apparatus, test set-up, test procedure, etc. for the vehicle test methods for electrical disturbances from narrowband radiated electromagnetic energy - bulk current injection (BCI). This part is applicable to Categories M, N and O vehicles, regardless of the vehicle propulsion system (e.g. spark-ignition engine, diesel engine, electric motor). 2 Normative references The following referenced documents are indispensable for the application of this document. For dated references, only the edition cited applies. For undated references, the latest edition of the referenced document (including any amendments) applies. GB/T 33012.1-2016 Road vehicles - Vehicle test methods for electrical disturbances from narrowband radiated electromagnetic energy - Part 1: General requirements (ISO 11451-1: 2005+A1: 2008, MOD) 3 Terms and definitions For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 33012.1-2016 apply. 4 Test conditions The applicable frequency range for this test method is 1 MHz to 400 MHz. The frequency range of the BCI test method is a direct function of the current probe characteristics. More than one type of current probe may be required to cover the applicable frequency range. The users shall specify the test severity level(s) over the frequency range. Suggested test severity levels are given in Annex C. These test severity levels are expressed in terms of the equivalent root-mean-square value of the unmodulated wave. The following standard test conditions shall meet the requirements of GB/T 33012.1-2016: ——test temperature; ——test voltage; ——modulation; ——dwell time; ——frequency step sizes; ——definition of test severity levels; ——test signal quality. 5 Test apparatus 5.1 General BCI is a method of carrying out immunity tests by inducing disturbance signals directly into the wiring harness by means of a current injection probe. The injection probe is a current transformer through which the wires of the device under test (DUT) are passed. Immunity tests are then carried out by varying the test severity level and frequency of the induced disturbance 5.2 Current injection probe An injection probe or set of probes capable of operating over the test frequency range is required to interface the test equipment of the DUT. The probe shall be capable of withstanding a continuous input power over the test frequency range regardless of the system loading. 5.3 Current measurement probe The current measurement probe or set of probes shall be capable of operating over the test frequency range. The current measurement probe(s) shall be terminated in the load impedance at which they are calibrated. 6 Test set-up Examples of BCI test set-up are shown in Figure 1. The vehicle shall be tested as built; no additional grounding connections are allowed. Tests should be performed inside a shielded enclosure. The distance between the vehicle and all other conductive structures, such as the walls of a shielded room (with the exception of the ground plane underneath the vehicle) shall be a minimum of 500 mm. 7 Test procedure 7.1 General An individual system mounted on the vehicle shall be subjected to BCI test. 7.2 Test plan Prior to performing the tests, a test plan shall be prepared, which shall include: ——test set-up; ——frequency range; ——test location; ——mode of operation for the DUT; ——acceptance criteria for the DUT; ——definition of test severity levels; ——vehicle monitoring conditions; ——modulation; ——test report contents; ——any special instructions and changes from the standard test. Each DUT shall be verified under the most significant conditions, i.e. at least in stand-by mode and in a mode where all the actuators can be excited. 7.3 Test method 7.3.1 General There are two test methods for the BCI test: the Substitution method and the Closed-loop method. For both tests, the test equipment shall be connected in a manner similar to that shown in Figure 1. Note: Hazardous voltages and fields may exist within the test area. Care shall be taken to ensure that the requirements for limiting the exposure of humans to RF energy are met.
