GB/T 40032.2-2025 Safety requirements of battery swap for electric vehicles – Part 2: Commercial vehicle
1 Scope
This document specifies the special safety requirements of Categories N1, N2 and N3 battery swap electric vehicles (hereinafter referred to as "vehicles"), and describes the corresponding test methods.
This document is applicable to Categories N1, N2 and N3 battery swap electric vehicles and on-board battery swap system, and may serve as a reference for other categories of battery swap vehicles.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given GB/T 15089, GB/T 19596, GB/T 40032-2021, QC/T 1201.1-2023 and the following apply.

process of vehicle power supplement realized by quick replacement of traction battery through special device or manual assistant
Note: The time required for a complete battery swap process is generally not greater than 5min.

electric vehicle with power supplement realized by quick replacement of traction battery through special device or manual assistant
Note: Battery swap electric vehicles are classified into battery swap electric vehicle without traction battery and battery swap electric vehicle with traction battery.

battery swap electric vehicle without traction battery
battery swap electric vehicle capable of quickly replacing the traction battery without on-board equipment

battery swap electric vehicle with traction battery
battery swap electric vehicle capable of quickly replacing the traction battery with on-board equipment

on-board battery swap system
system composed of components related to the battery swap operation or function on the vehicle
Note: It generally includes swappable battery system, battery swap bracket, and battery swap mechanism.

Note: It generally includes traction battery, battery frame, and battery swap connector, which can be charged and discharged off board.
