GB/T 45788.2-2025 Quality requirements for resistance welding of metallic - Part 2: Elementary quality requirements
1 Scope
This document specifies the elementary quality requirements for resistance welding of metallic, including contract and technical review, sub-contracting, personnel, equipment, welding and related activities, welding electrodes and auxiliaries, storage of parent metal, heat treatment, tests and inspections related to welding, non-conformances and corrective actions, identification and quality reporting, etc.
This document is applicable to the elementary quality requirements for welding both in metal material workshops and on site.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purpose of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 12467.1 apply.
4 Contract and technical review
The manufacturer shall review the contractual requirements and the design scheme provided by the user or in-house data for construction designed by the manufacturer. This is to ensure that all information necessary to carry out the fabrication operations is complete and feasible prior to the commencement of the work. The manufacturer shall affirm his capability to meet all welding contract requirements and ensure adequate planning of all quality-related activities.
