1 Pipe distribution of tower 1.1 Pipe distribution principle 1.1.1 The piping layout design shall be in accordance with the design principle stated in 1.1.2 of HG/T 20549.2 Regulations for design engineering of piping layout for chemical plant. 1.1.2 The connecting pipe on the tower shall be located on the side close to the pipe rack, and the manhole shall be arranged on the side close to maintenance. 1.1.3 When the outlet pipe of the tower is connected with the pump, the elevation of the tower shall be determined according to the net positive suction head of the pump. 1.2 Pipe distribution requirements 1.2.1 Nozzle orientation 1 The nozzle orientation of the tower shall meet the requirements of the working principle and structure of the tower internals, and the relative orientation of the overall structure of the equipment internals and the nozzle orientation shall be determined at the same time during design. 2 The design requirements for nozzle orientation are specified in Clause 9 “Design of equipment nozzle orientation” hereof. 3 For the tower with tower plate, the manhole should be arranged on the diameter of the tower parallel to the overflow weir of the plate. If conditions do not permit, they may not be parallel, but the clearance between the manhole and the overflow weir in the horizontal direction shall be greater than 50mm. The layout of manhole shall conform to Figure 1.2.1-1 Schematic diagram of the manhole orientation of tower equipment. 4 The orientation of manhole davit shall be uniform with the setting of the ladder; in case of accident, the direction in which the manhole cover is closed smoothly shall be consistent with the direction of evacuation, so as to make it unimpeded.   5 The interface of liquid level gauge can be directly connected with the liquid level gauge through the root valve, and may also be connected with the liquid level gauge communicating pipe through the root valve. The interface of the liquid level gauge shall not be arranged opposite to the feed inlet, unless the feed inlet is protected by an inner baffle. Baffles shall be added to the external float-type liquid level control pipes directly connected to the tower. Liquid level gauge, liquid level control buoy, alarm and other devices are often located in the tower platform or at the end of local platform, so as to facilitate maintenance. 6 The pressure gauge interface shall be arranged in the gas phase area of the tower, so that the pressure gauge reading is not affected by the liquid level head. 7 Layout of sampling port and temperature measuring port: the gas phase sampling port and temperature measuring port shall not be arranged in the gas phase area of the tower plate downcomer; the liquid sampling port and temperature measuring port shall be located in the liquid holding layer of the tower plate in the downcomer area; for the liquid phase sampling pipe which is easy to crystallize, it shall have a slope to the tower plate. See Figure 1.2.1-2 for the requirements for the orientation arrangement of sampling port and temperature measuring port on tower equipment.
