1 Application scope
This standard specifies the general requirements for self-monitoring of the electroplating industry pollutant emission units and the centralized sewage treatment plants specially treated with electroplating wastewater, the development of monitoring scheme, and the basic content and requirements of the information record and report.
This standard is applicable to the electroplating industry pollutant emission units and the centralized sewage treatment plants electroplating wastewater on self-monitoring of water and gas pollutants, noise and impact on the surrounding environment quality during production and operation.

4 General requirements for automatic monitoring
The pollutant emission units shall check the pollution sources, pollutant indexes and potential environmental impacts of the unit, develop a monitoring scheme, set up and maintain monitoring facilities, conduct self-monitoring according to the monitoring scheme, complete quality assurance and quality control well, record and save monitoring data, and disclose the monitoring results to the public according to law.
5 Monitoring scheme development
5.1 Wastewater discharge monitoring
5.1.1 Monitoring points
The electroplating industry pollutant emission units shall set monitoring points at the general discharge port of the wastewater and the discharge port of the workshops or production facilities corresponding to total chromium, hexavalent chromium, total nickel, total cadmium, total silver, total lead and total mercury.
The centralized sewage treatment plants specially treated with electroplating wastewater shall set monitoring points at the general discharge outlet of the wastewater and the discharge port of the workshops or production facilities corresponding to chromium, hexavalent chromium, total nickel, total cadmium, total silver, total lead and total mercury.
5.1.2 Monitoring indexes and frequency
The monitoring indexes and minimum monitoring frequency of the wastewater discharge port of the electroplating industry pollutant emission unit shall be implemented according to Table 1.
