1 Scope This Standard specifies ammonium ferrous sulfate titration method for determination of vanadium content. This Standard is applicable to determination of vanadium [0.100% (m/m)~3.50% (m/m)] in steel, iron or alloy. This Standard is not applicable to determination for vanadium content in the following samples: test portions containing cobalt > 20% (m/m) or cerium > 0.01% (m/m); test portions containing chromium > 20% (m/m), manganese > 20% (m/m) or wolfram > 18%; test portions containing vanadium < 0.4% (m/m). 2 Normative References The provisions of the following standard, through reference into this Standard, constitute provisions of this Standard. When this standard is published, the editions indicated are valid. All standards are subject to revision, and Parties concerned are encouraged to discuss the possibility of applying the latest edition of the following standards.
