本标准代替GB/T 12094-1989《淀粉及其衍生物二氧化硫含量测定方法》。
本标准规定了测定淀粉及其衍生物中二氧化硫含量的酸度法和浊度法。
本标准适用于淀粉及其衍生物二氧化硫含量的测定。酸度法适用于二氧化硫含量高于16mg/kg的样品，浊度法适用于二氧化硫含量低于16mg/kg的样品。
本标准和GB/T 12094-1989相比主要修改如下：
———标准名称改为《淀粉及其衍生物二氧化硫含量的测定》；
———增加了检测方法：将浊度法作为测定二氧化硫含量的方法写入标准中；
———完善了标准格式，按国际单位制规范了单位；
———增加了“6　实验报告”。
