本标准规定了冻银鱼的规格、技术要求、试验方法、检验规则、标志、包装、贮存和运输。
本标准适用于鲜太湖短吻银鱼（Neosalanx tangkahkeii taihuensis Chen）、大银鱼[Protosalanx hyalocranius(Abbott)]、长江银鱼（Hemisalanx prognathus Regan）等银鱼科（Salangidae）的银鱼经冷冻加工制成的冻银鱼。
