1 Scope This specification specifies the selection of tanks for tank farms of storage and transportation system in petrochemical industry, and the design principles and technical requirements for the normal-pressure, low-pressure and pressure tank farms. This specification is applicable to the design of new construction, renovation and expansion projects of tank farms used for storing the liquid materials (including raw materials, intermediate raw materials, finished products and auxiliary production materials) storage and transportation systems in petrochemical and coal chemical enterprises. It is not applicable to the design of the low-temperature, normal-pressure tank farms for the liquefied hydrocarbon. 2 Normative References The following referenced documents are indispensable for the application of this document. For dated references, only the edition cited applies. For undated references, the latest edition of the referenced document (including any amendments) applies.
